The new SiMS 2006 is a powerful and
innovative growth-and-yield simulation software tool developed
by ForesTech International, LLC. The SiMS software provides forestry
professionals the latest technology for use
in long-range planning for small to large parcels. The SiMS software
provides growth and yield simulation along
with financial analysis for the three major species of southern
pine as well as for mixed pine/hardwood stands,
which provides foresters with information about the impact of silvicultural
treatments on the growth of these trees.
This allows foresters to develop and evaluate management plans
from both a biological and financial point of
view. Other services that are available include, but are not limited
to, Inventory Updates, Harvest Scheduling,
Acquisition Analysis and production of customized yield tables
for use in commercial harvest scheduling tools.
