This Advanced SiMS class is for SiMS users who know how to input stand info and create and simulate regimes but who have questions related to more advanced topics. We plan to introduce users to the new SiMS 2009 program and then delve into how to use SiMS for an Income Approach to Valuation, Carbon Sequestration, Stand Specific Product Specification, GIS integration and much more! Introduction to ArcGIS for Foresters

The goal of this class is to simplify ArcGIS and make it a practical
tool for the field forester. It is just the right blend
of GIS terms, procedures, and forestry applications. We
will cover the basics of ArcGIS, go into how to edit GPS data
and then integrate it with basemaps to create terrific maps,
learn how to digitize on top of aerial photos, create ArcGIS

Advanced Cruising

Participants in this class will learn how to design a large-scale, stratified, inventory in both SOLO Office and ArcGIS, carry it out in the field using RTI, and then QA/QC and auto-stratify the plots back in TCruise Office using the LandMark Custom Procedure Technique.
